The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., was founded in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1923 by eight young teachers who wanted to form an organization that would promote the highest ideals of the teaching profession. Beta, the second organized chapter, was chartered in 1924.
